Joseph H. "Jack" Gagne

Joseph H. “Jack” Gagne, 87, of Story, AR passed from this life to be with his heavenly father on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Montgomery County Nursing Home, surrounded by his family. He was born June 13, 1931 in Manchester, NH to the late Henri and Lillian St. Pierre Gagne. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Ilene Stephens Gagne, second wife Lynne Gagne, one son, Alan Dale Gagne and sisters Juliette Gagne and Irene Collette.

Jack loved life and lived it to the fullest, always trying to bring joy and a smile to the face of others. He made his career with the military, proudly serving in the U.S. Army. For many years he was active in the community playing the role of Santa Claus, Charlie Weaver and others and performing in productions by the MCCPA. His favorite place to be was at the Mt. Ida Senior Center where he loved to play bean bag baseball with his teammates The Go Getters. He cherished his two faithful canine companions, Bonnie and Clyde and all the many friendships he made during his lifetime. He loved his family, his country and the Lord.

He is survived by two sons, Eddy Gagne, Jacky Gagne (Janey), Stepson, Carl Perry (Kristi), Step-daughter, Evelyn Jones (Bill), Grandchildren, Bradley Gagne, Jessica Gagne, Kathy Dodgen, Tiffany Gagne, step-grandchildren, Casey Perry, Nick Perry, Stephanie Kesterson (Blue), John P. Jones (Kalyn), and one sister Caroline Turner.

A memorial Service will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2019, 2 pm at Lake Ouachita Baptist Church, in Mount Ida, AR. with Bro. Roy Brooks and Bro. Ty Huitt and officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be The Go Getters Bean Bag Baseball Team, Dr. And Mrs. Rajesh Shroff and staff of Cardiology Diagnostic Clinic and the Montgomery County Nursing Home and staff of the 300 hall.
